This book chronicles the Block Wars that raged from August 2015 to November 2017 within the Bitcoin community. On the surface, the battle was over the amount of data allowed in each Bitcoin block (the block size), but it revealed much deeper issues, such as who controls the rules of the Bitcoin protocol.
It is not possible to cover all the twists and turns of this extremely complex conflict, nor all the related quarrels, but I offer here a chronology of the most important events. This book presents some of the great figures who marked the conflict and covers some of the most acute phases of the struggle, both at the front and behind the scenes.
The book's narrative includes discussions with key players on both sides of the war, and explores their motivations, strategies, and thought processes as the grueling campaign unfolded.
