BACKUPS ARE ESSENTIAL
Creating a backup of your wallet is crucial. This ensures that your funds can be restored in case your device is lost or broken. By default, the BitBox02 creates a backup on a microSD card.
Additionally, some users prefer to create an analog backup by writing 24 recovery words. This option follows the Bitcoin BIP39 standard and can be restored with any Bitcoin wallet.
With our high-quality backup card , you can be sure that your analog backup will stand the test of time and can be easily restored.
CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS
Writing down the 24 recovery words is not an intuitive process and should be done with some caution. The same goes for restoring: you or someone else may need to restore your wallet in the distant future.
Short, clear instructions are an integral part of our backup card and help make this process as safe as possible. We have also included links to online resources for additional information or help if needed.
RESISTANCE TO AGING
A backup must stand the test of time. We use high-quality, age-resistant, chlorine- and acid-free thin cardboard. This material comes from a specialist paper manufacturer with over 100 years of experience.
STABILITY
Our thin cardboard, with a weight of 270 g/m², is used in three layers with an outer cover and an insert for backup, thus providing a robust card.
LAMINATION PROTECTION
The included cold lamination card (applying a clear adhesive film to a document or surface) adds important protection against moisture and physical wear, without the need for a laminating machine.
Note : Lamination is not designed to withstand physical access or tampering. For this, you may want to use a tamper-evident security bag to store the backup card.

Delivery to Relay Points and Lockers
Our goal is to let those who wish receive their order without revealing their personal details.
If you live in France: on the checkout page, choose the “Pickup point” tab and select the pickup point or locker you prefer.
If you live in Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland or Portugal: pickup points and lockers are available too, but the steps are different.
- Stay on the “Ship” tab. Do not use the “Pickup point” tab, it only works in France.
- Enter a normal street address in your country, close to the point you want if you prefer not to give yours: it is only used to find nearby points and calculate the rate.
- In the shipping methods that appear, choose “Delivery to a pickup point (choice after payment)”.
- Once payment is complete, the list of pickup points and lockers near that address is shown: pick yours.
